About us

We are Caspar and Kamiel Verwer, two brothers hailing from the Netherlands (one of the first countries to go as a result of rising sea levels).

Caspar (born 1983) is a Forest Ecology researcher at Wageningen University, Netherlands. His research has taken him to the Antilles, Bolivia and countries in South-East Asia.
He has done research on carbon dioxide emission of tropical peatlands in Sarawak, Malaysia.
He working at the Alterra institute at Wageningen University for a couple of years.


Kamiel (born 1979) has traveled for the (ecological) good with his Charity Travel project. He created the website kindmankind.net that links independent skilled volunteers to local initiatives that could use their help. He lives with his wife in South Korea.
